Dr. Minor’s initial introduction to Fresno and the surrounding communities came in 1990 when he accepted a scholarship to play baseball for Coach Bob Bennett and the Fresno State Bulldogs. He played on the 1991 College World Series team and was an All-American pitcher in his senior campaign.
After 2 seasons of professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals, he matriculated to medical school at the University of Chicago, where he was elected president of his class. Dr. Minor completed 6 years of surgical training in Urology at the University of California, San Francisco, considered by experts to be one of the top 5 programs in the US. His infertility interests and skills were fostered and enhanced under the expert guidance of Dr. Paul Turek. Following a laparoscopic and robotic fellowship in Australia, he returned to the Central Valley in early 2007 to become the second founding member of Valley Urology. He has performed thousands of vasectomies, and numerous vasovasostomies and microscopic procedures to harvest sperm. He feels truly blessed to participate in the urological health of Central Valley patients.
